Places
I love Cornwall, and some places feel like they are in my very bones.
It is Porthleven where I had my first proper studio after college, in the old Net Lofts, overlooking the harbour. It was a luxury for space and subject matter, but not for warmth and home comforts during the winter months. It inspired a lot of paintings during the years I worked there.
The seaside village of Marazion also holds precious memories of childhood holidays, and who wouldn’t wonder at the sight of St Michaels Mount. It is there that Avalon Gallery has sold my paintings for so many years, and up the road at All Saints Church hangs the large commissioned painting about Pilgrimage.
