I don’t know about you, but I particularly look forward to hearing traditional Christmas carols at this time of year and getting together with family . To be honest I am not talking luxury , a cup of tea and a catch up feeds my soul , and then there is the all important raising of a glass to those we love who can’t be with us , and those much loved souls no longer here. This tradition reminds us and them that they remain in our hearts.

This year I felt that we could all do with an angel in our lives when I was choosing the subject matter for this Christmas painting . I wanted to paint a kind and humble spirit who would , if they could, hold our hearts and feelings very gently in their hands, and who with great wisdom would always have our backs as we do our best to tackle the ups and downs of daily life , particularly as we witness the harsh realities of mans inhumanity to man and nature around the globe .

So this angel and robin brings all those good things, and my Christmas wish to you, which is a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year x.
