this work. The young woman

Children looking at a naked chicken.
2006. oil on card. 25 x 33 cm.
This painting is about the progress and
cost of science . The
invention of a bald or featherless chicken was in an article about
making convenience food more convenient to the farmer and consumer.
Zoe says I wanted to have the children participating in a small
ceremony of some kind, a mock wedding, at school, mimicking adult
behaviour, then I wanted the chicken to pass by, lost and naked. We
dont seem to see what we have in life and how fragile and valuable
it is.
